The Queue The enforcer

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

You guys spent the entire comment section either complaining about dailies or broccoli, for some reason, so today's Queue is short. You only have yourselves to blame! And this guy is gonna beat you up for it. You messed with the wrong Queue writer.

GavinLafferty asked:

I'm currently levelling a lower level Monk in the Old World and seeing a lot of the changes Blizzard did with the Cataclysm. But while the quests and content feel fresh the overall aesthetic of the game hasn't and while WoW was obviously designed to age well, it feels to me that the zone textures and doodads conceived of over ten years ago look really...really bad when compared to similar stuff in Pandaria and Cata zones. Trees and Bushes in places like Darkshore or Winterspring, or some of the older monster models now look positively dreadful (the Frog is a particularly horrific example in my opinion).

While I doubt Blizzard will ever upgrade the basic game engine, do you think they'll ever give their older monsters and older zones a fresh lick of paint?

Take this one to the bank: after the mess that the amount of attention the dev team focused on Cataclysm's 1-60 revamp caused on the expansion's development, we won't be seeing any sweeping changes to the old world for a very long time. Don't misunderstand me: the revamp was completely necessary. But it's all we're getting.

Morgy asked:

Does anyone know if buying Grand Commendations will affect the character I buy it on? In other words, I reach revered with the Golden Lotus on my Lock, I buy the commendation, will my lock now gain double experience from revered to exalted?

Yes, but only because it's apparently unavoidable in the current engine! You can't flag just the other characters on the account to receive the buff. It's weird.

arixian697 asked:

why is it that when someone drops group in a Scenario it doesn't reque you or allow your party to reque so you are forced to either 2man it or drop yourself?

I don't know why it happens, but as someone whose first (and thus far only) scenario had me and and a rogue doing the whole thing ourselves, I'm happy to inform you that it's being fixed in 5.1.
