WRUP: Will you marry me, vicious leopard living outside of my house edition

This was originally going to be a cougar, because the word cougar is inherently hilarious, but that sort of has a double meaning.

Leopard, we've had a really strange relationship. I can remember how it started like it was yesterday, mostly because it was. You escaped from the zoo, I tried to get to my car, you nearly gnawed my leg off... at the time, I didn't think anything of it aside from "I need someone to help me; there is a leopard in my yard." But now, as I see you pacing the front lawn licking your chops at the thought of devouring me, I realize that we're meant to be together as a man and a savage jungle cat looking to consume that man for sustenance.

So, vicious leopard living outside of my house: Will you marry me? Roar once for yes and twice for yes two times.

This week's installment of WRUP is past the cut, complete with our plans for the weekend and the opportunity for you to sound off on your plans in the comments. Be sure to tune in for next week's installment, in which I recover from multiple leopard-induced lacerations and ask to spend some time away from the murderous cat-beast.

Beau Hindman, F2P and Mobile Columnist

@Beau_Hindman: I'll be finishing up the final touches on my end-of-year indie awards and will be playing several games that will be featured in upcoming articles. Really just a normal weekend. I want to write an article about just how amazing the selection of MMOs is right now, but I'd have to find space and time to do that! I'm also working on getting together my novel project; I'm going to attempt to write and publish a short-ish novel in 2013. Wish me luck!

Bree Royce, Editor-in-Chief

@nbrianna: I'm going to tryyyy to tackle Age of Wushu; the rave reviews are provoking me to want to spend more time learning the game. Beyond that, I have about 50 million Steam and Android games to crack into!

David Desi, Multimedia Contributor

@PsykopigAU: Well I will be plowing through more Star Wars: The Old Republic characters and probably try to fit in some of the Bit.Trip games I got during the Steam winter sale. They're 8-bit fun! Also I'll be playing some The Secret World for my show on Saturday. Happy Spew Year!

Eliot Lefebvre, Columnist Extraordinaire and Senior Contributing Editor

@Eliot_Lefebvre: Between Christmas gifts from awesome people and my own magpie-like tendencies, my Steam list has gone from modest to ridiculous, prompting me to start finishing some of these darn games now. That means dropping my usual obsessive-compulsive impulses and just beating the games instead of trying to reach 100% completion on everything (looking at you here, Arkham City, especially with your horrible AR challenges). Beyond that, I'll be darting around in Champions Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Guild Wars 2.

Jef Reahard, Managing Editor and Columnist Extraordinaire

@jefreahard: It's pretty much a repeat of last week for me. More Age of Wushu and a bunch of single-player stuff if there's any time left over.

Justin Olivetti, Columnist Extraordinaire and Senior Contributing Editor

@Sypster: I'm really feeling the itch to make some headway into Transylvania in The Secret World, so I might give myself permission to temporarily suspend juggling MMOs and just go on a single-game bender. Taking out vampires is soothing to my irritation with pop culture's love of those fangy freaks. Apart from that, I've got some headway to make in Lord of the Rings Online's expansion -- and heaven help me, I'm thinking about taking my Lore-master out of retirement. He only breaks my heart, but I can't resist the allure of the class.

Patrick Mackey, League of Legends Columnist

@mackeypb: First, Age of Wushu. I'm in one of the top guilds now, and I'm in the top 15 disciples in my school. I held the #1 craftsman title for a while, but I realized how crippling it is to keep (you lose a lot of potential income), so I let the achievement farmers get it. Second, League of Legends -- I'm not really doing anything different, but I'm really suffering from the Diana nerfs. I am falling back on my old standbys such as Poppy and Kassadin, and I'm using Zyra again for Dominion bottom lane. My duo queue partner picked up Jayce, and he's still a little weak, so my Elo is in a bit of flux. Hopefully we can pull things together and start winning again.

Richie Procopio, Multimedia Contributor

@RichieProcopio: I'm probably going to be unoriginal and end the year playing more Guild Wars 2. What can I say? I like my Tyrian adventures. I also plan on cracking open The Walking Dead game on Steam. Something has to fill the void while we wait for the show to start back up again in February. Happy New Year everyone!

Terilynn Shull, Star Trek Online Columnist

@terilynns: This weekend will likely be filled with Star Trek Online and Lord of the Rings Online's winter events. However, it will also be spent shopping for a new rig. I am finally realizing just how much I need a new graphics card.

At the start of every weekend, we catch up with the Massively staff members and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game -- and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!
