IGF Award winning game Antichamber will be available worldwide January 31st, 2013

Melbourne, Australia - January 18th, 2013 - Independent developer Alexander Bruce is pleased to announce his award winning psychological exploration game, Antichamber will be available to the public January 31st for PC (Windows) via Steam. Antichamber has been making the rounds in competitions and at conferences for the past several years, being recognised with over 25 awards and honors throughout its development from major festivals including the Independent Games Festival, PAX10, IndieCade and Make Something Unreal. In April 2012, Antichamber was honored as the 7th game to be backed by the IndieFund.

Antichamber is a mind-bending psychological exploration game where nothing can be taken for granted. Players will discover an Escher-like world where hallways wrap around upon each other, spaces reconfigure themselves, and accomplishing the impossible may just be the only way forward.

Key features:

A deeply psychological experience that will make the player question everything they know about games.
Mind-bending challenges that will subvert the player's expectations at every twist and turn.
An enormous, seamless non-Euclidean world for players to explore with several hundred unique and unusual puzzles to solve.
Lifelike soundscapes developed by Robin Arnott and an ambient soundtrack composed by Siddhartha Barnhoorn.
A gun that can create, destroy and manipulate matter, allowing the player to discover new ways to overcome their surroundings.

As praise for Antichamber began to increase, so did the anticipation of its impending release. With over 4 years of full time development behind the game, Alexander Bruce prepares to release his first game. "Creating Antichamber was a journey that took me around the world and deep within myself, through an emotional rollercoaster with the highs of award ceremonies and the lows of going a little bit insane," states developer Alexander Bruce. "After several years of obsessively watching people play and trying to get inside their minds, refining and then watching some more, this is what I've discovered, and it's finally time to share that with the world."
