From what we know, you'll be able to use your balance on your Battle.net account -- so I'd say that's a pretty good indicator that the answer is yes.
I was just wondering does hearthstone = titan? Probably not, but I remember them saying titan was going to be more social and casual so I'm in doubt.
Oh goodness no. Titan is a completely different project -- it's a new franchise that supposedly has nothing to do with any prior Blizzard IP. Hearthstone, on the other hand, is firmly tied to the Warcraft universe.
@DanielReasor asked via Twitter:
Assume the big announcement at Blizzcon is the next expansion; what do you want to see, in terms of both lore and game design?
Game design-wise, I like the direction Mists has taken in terms of fast patches. On the one hand, there's almost an overwhelming amount of things to do. On the other, I'm getting a lot for my $15 a month. I'd like to see scenarios continuing that path of being storytelling tools -- I do enjoy quests, but scenarios seem like a slightly more active way to tell the story for some reason. And I want to see some more Caverns of Time stuff. I really like being able to go back and play through those cool moments in Warcraft history, and I'd like to visit them in some cool new 5-mans.
I don't think we need a new race, and I don't think we need a new class. I think if Blizzard introduced new character models, that would likely go over far better than just another new race to play. I do, however, think they should keep in some sort of option to continue using those old character models, just in case people are super-attached to the way their character looks.
In terms of lore -- I'd like to see something done with Azshara. Not the Caverns of Time Azshara, today's Azshara. She made a cameo appearance in one lone quest in Darkshore, and then promptly disappeared. But she was supposedly allied with the Old Gods, and they failed miserably in Cataclysm. Given the weird water in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and its peculiar resemblance to the Well of Eternity, you'd think Azshara would have a keen interest in that. And given the failure of the Old Gods to hold up their end of the bargain, you'd think that Azshara would be savvy enough to come up with some other plan.
I'd also like to travel off-world again. Say what you will about it being more sci-fi than fantasy, but I really, really enjoyed Outland. And I think with Pandaria, we've just about wrapped up all the major troubles on Azeroth, Azshara aside.
@dwisms asked via Twitter:
A question you've prob never expected to get: 5.3 release, when?
Given Blizzard's track record so far, I'd say probably PTR in April/May, patch sometime in June. But that's just a prediction, we don't have any real info on that yet. A lot of it will depend on how much they're putting into this patch, how much testing needs to be done, and how many things need to be tweaked and fixed before it's ready for live.
@Orkchop asked via Twitter:
Do we know if there are any Titan connections to Draenor? Did the Titans visit it at all?
Not to our knowledge. There is, however, evidence that the Old Gods are there over in Shadowmoon Valley.
@Ottahz asked via Twitter:
what's your fave take-out coffee atm?
There are a few local places out here, but most of the time I hit up Starbucks if I happen to be in town. Usually I'll get a toffee nut latte, however my latest discovery is pretty tasty. Order a venti iced caramel macchiato, upside down. They usually put five pumps of vanilla syrup in it -- ask them to instead substitute four toffee nut and one pump of mocha. The resultant drink ends up tasting kind of like a Snickers.
However, town is about a half hour away from here and I very rarely go. So really, most of the time I just end up making my coffee at home.
@2ndTimotheus316 asked via Twitter:
Anne, do you ever sleep? I mean, seriously?
Yes, yes I do. As soon as I run out of things to do.
