Apple Store is down (update: back up)
The Apple Store went down for maintenance at midnight ET. What will the refresh bring? Maybe a surprise or two this April morning. Tipster Daniel was in the middle of buying a book from iPhoto when the upload cut out about halfway through. Thanks for the tip, Daniel, and good luck getting your photo book produced!
7:38 AM ET: Store's back up, and no obvious changes -- did anyone spot a shift? Although our commenters note that T-Mobile preorders for iPhone 5 are due today, those don't appear on the Apple Store yet.
1:12 PM ET: It seems Apple has added handy, touch-friendly navigation and search results for those shopping from an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. For example, you can now swipe through product categories. Also, search results are now presented as a tap-able grid.
