The Queue: Last train to Cairo

The Queue

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

This weekend is/was the Golden Weekend in The Secret World, so I played through the latest content update and got to hang out with my favorite character: posh immortal trade-prince mummy Saïd.

Chrth asked:

If the Celestials hadn't opened the gates to the Vale, would the Mogu have gotten in?

The mogu were, in fact, already in the Vale. One of the first quests you complete for the Golden Lotus has you blowing up a cave that the mogu were using to send reinforcements into the Vale, probably through an ancient network of tunnels (or the product of heavy mogu labor in recent years).

ThomasHillJr asked:

I've been hearing whispers in the drag regarding new models for some of the more dated character models, eg. Trolls, Orcs, Humans and the like. Now firstly would I be correct in assuming they would probably keep this for an expansion (no denying it's a big development)? Secondly if this were the case it would only seem logical that existing toons get the chance to redesign themselves, but in order to keep this fair wouldn't all characters then have to receive a free 'face' reroll? Lastly, what of my horrible looking Worgen human form, would I get to recast that too?

I think Blizzard will want to release the models when they're done; whether this is in a patch or an expansion is anyone's guess. It seems reasonable that existing characters would get a free customization; it'd kind of be bad business if they didn't. As for your worgen's human form, I have no idea.

chaoswolf1982 asked:

I have one Horde character. With mounts now accountwide, if I factionchange him to Alliance and later decide to make a second Horde character, will that new Horde have to re-acquire all the Horde-specific mounts I had before the first Horde was changed, or are they "in reserve" until I can access them?

All your old Horde mounts should be waiting for you on your Horde character whenever you decide to make it.

MTA asked:

Is it possible for WoW Insider to increase its podcast length? Either give it an extra hour or make it twice a week? I feel that not a lot is done in that short one hour. I know everyone's busy but would love to just get one extra hour per week.

First: glad you like the show! Ultimately it's a matter of two factors: available content and available time for us. Sometimes we have a lot to talk about and we do need to cut it off to fit in the hour's time, but a lot of the time we have just enough to talk about, either through emails or news stories, to fill that hour. We also have lives outside of the show and two hours is a long commitment, especially for the person recording and not participating!
