Conker's Bad Fur Day dev bringing new game to Wii U, 3DS eShop
Conker's Bad Fur Day designer (and the voice of Conker himself) Chris Seavor is currently working on a new downloadable game for the Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Life reports.
Seavor partnered with fellow ex-Rare employee Shawn Pile to form Gory Detail, a studio that previously produced the iOS action game Parashoot Stan. The pair's current project, The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup, is a darkly humorous platformer that tells a "serious and adult story," according to Seavor.
Rusty Pup is a 2D platformer "with depth to it," Seavor told Nintendo Life. "You physically move in and out of the screen. It's also got hints of Lemmings in there. The game has a core gameplay mechanic – and when I say mechanic I mean something you do which will effect something else in the gameworld – which we can't say because it will give so much away!"
Seavor notes that his company is "looking at about a year and half turnaround" for the project, suggesting a late 2014 release date.
