Looking for Guild: Defiance, FFXIV, GW2, and more
Wow. When I first pitched the idea for this column, I figured we'd get a bit of interest, but I never imagined we'd get as swamped as we did. It seems that a lot of you out there are really in need of a good guild!
For this first "real" week of the column, I'm going to go ahead and list every submission we received so far because I think everyone should get their info out there, and the sooner the better. If you're a guild leader and you find someone in this list who interests you, just send me an email showing that person's submission at shawn@massively.com with the subject line "LFM - (game name)" and I will pass along the contact info. And most importantly, if you find a guild or guildie through the column, let us know!

Game: Defiance
Usual play times: Weekday evenings and weekend evenings
Main character class: Doesn't really matter in this game
Any alt classes: Same
Preferred playstyle: Whatever works
What you would bring to a guild: This is Defiance, we'll just talk and hang out and shoot cyborgs in the head and hellbugs in the mouth or backside.
Game: EVE Online
Usual play times: 1900-2200 EDT Daily
Main character class: Missioner / Newbie (Moldable into something efficient, profitable, and deadly!)
Any alt classes: None yet
Preferred playstyle: PvE / PvP
What you would bring to a guild: Over a decade of MMO and real life combined leadership, mature discourse, and a willingness to perform above standards.
Game: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
Usual play times: Monday to Friday early evenings, Saturday and Sunday sporadic throughout the day
Main character class: Gladiator
Any alt classes: Conjurer
Preferred playstyle: Casual, at my own pace. Lone wolf who is also part of the team
What you would bring to a guild: Good atmosphere, friendliness, helpfulness and laughs, extensive MMO experience.
Game: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
Usual play times: 19.00 - 22.00 GMT+1 (Belgium)
Main character class: Archer
Any alt classes: Nope
Preferred playstyle: Casual, not too slow, just to enjoy the game at a normal speed
What you would bring to a guild: A helpful social guild, a mature crowd who also wouldn't mind talking about life-related problems like Fukushima.
Game: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn -- Coeurl Server
Usual play times: M-Th 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. PDT, Fri. 2:00 - 11:00 p.m. (off and on)
Main character class: Arcanist > Summoner, Weaving, Botany
Any alt classes: What've you got, man? Alt ALL THE THINGS!
Preferred playstyle: Ranged DPS, but can do anything.
What you would bring to a guild: Enthusiasm, teamwork.
Game: Guild Wars 2
Usual play times: Weekdays and weekends, between 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. EDT
Main character class: Engineer
Any alt classes: I have alts of all classes, sigh
Preferred playstyle: Support/heals, love dungeons and group activities like WvW
What you would bring to a guild: Humor, positive attitude, team spirit

Game: Guild Wars 2 -- Jade Quarry server
Usual play times: Afternoons and evenings EDT
Main character class: Guardian
Any alt classes: Play them all but not lvl capped
Preferred playstyle: Casual PvE, PvP and WvW
What you would bring to a guild: Experienced, mellow, tolerant gamer just looking for a fun group of people to do content with. I'm a solid player who doesn't take myself too seriously.
Game: Guild Wars 2 and Path of Exile
Usual play times: Afternoons and weekends (GMT)
Main character class: I have a max-level Ranger, my main on PoE is probably a Ranger too, weirdly
Any alt classes: I'm currently leveling a Guardian on GW2. I enjoy all the classes on PoE
Preferred playstyle: I had a heavily hardcore background, but I've settled it down now. I'm a decent gamer who hasn't got as much time as I used to, but I enjoy the time I have in-game.
What you would bring to a guild: I'm friendly, competitive, dedicated, and i love having a laugh. I love gaming, and anything geeky.
Game: Guild Wars 2
Usual play times: 8:30 p.m. (EDT) most weekdays and Fridays
Main character class: Ranger
Any alt classes: Necromancer
Preferred playstyle: Hmmm.... play for fun, social. I'm an older-than-average gamer I guess, though really I like to game to reduce stress not add to it!
What you would bring to a guild: Fun, social, I'll admit to being new to GW2 dungeons, though I'm looking to learn
Game: Lord of the Rings Online (server flexible, can start a new toon or move)
Usual play times: 7:00 p.m. EDT - 12:00 p.m. EDT Mon-Fri (generally), Weekends flexible
Main character class: Guardian
Any alt classes: Rune-Keeper, Hunter
Preferred playstyle: Getting to cap before Helm's Deep, generally gearing out, maybe crafting
What you would bring to a guild: A lot of random MMO experience (played a lot of games to cap/raiding), and all LotRO expansion content already purchased. Also VIP! Plus I'm nice I think :)
Game: Planetside 2
Usual play times: All days 15:00 p.m. GMT +1 - 00:00 a.m. GMT +1
Main character class: Combat Medic
Any alt classes: Engineer and Infiltrator
Preferred playstyle: I prefer to heal fallen comrades and take it to the field with my comrades as an infantry division. I love tactical teamwork and also love to do transport work and lead squads once in a while.
What you would bring to a guild: I am a loyal member who loves to help in any way I can as long as there is something active going on within the guild/outfit. I love to create websites and forums, but also love to help with communication solutions and other kinds of planning if that's needed. Leading squads is something I can do as well.
Game: Star Wars: The Old Republic (Jedi Covenant)
Usual play times: Monday and Tuesday all day, daytime and late nights the rest of the week
Main character class: Sith Inquisitor (highest level toon right now)
Any alt classes: Many alts including a level 51 Agent, 51 Bounty Hunter, 50 Jedi Shadow, and 50 Jedi Sentinel
Preferred playstyle: PvE group content, flashpoints and raids, potentially PvP Warzones as well
What you would bring to a guild: Experience and knowledge (raiding in TOR and other MMOs), friendliness, maturity, and no drama. My highest level toon is a healer but I enjoy and can excel in all roles (healing, tanking and damage).
Game: The Secret World
Usual play times: 7:00 p.m. EDT - 12:00 p.m. EDT Mon-Fri (generally), Weekends flexible
Main character class: Tank (Hammer/Shotty generally)
Any alt classes: DPS
Preferred playstyle: Dungeons, want to really get into this game. I have a lifetime sub and have hardly done anything with it; I'm basically a n00b.
What you would bring to a guild: A lot of random MMO experience (played a lot of games to cap/raiding), and a lifetime sub! Plus I love having a good time and I'm not super hard to get along with at all!
Game: The Secret World
Usual play times: Weekdays and weekends, between 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. EDT
Main character class: Chaos/Sword/Fists
Any alt classes: --
Preferred playstyle: Tank

Usual play times: Mon - Sat 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. EDT, Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. EDT
Main character class: DPS Ranged
Any alt classes: All of them (altalholic)
Preferred playstyle: DPS ranged
What you would bring to a guild: Everything
Game:World of Warcraft
Usual play times: Outside U.S. office hours.. so I guess during the night?
Main character class: Hunter
Any alt classes: Anything except Warriors
Preferred playstyle: Don't have one. It's not what I do, but who I do it with that matters. So if you want a raiding member, PvP or whatever, I believe I can make the necessary accommodations.
What you would bring to a guild: A productive member of the guild, I hope.
Game:World of Warcraft (Khadgar EU)
Usual play times: Any day from 9:00 p.m. U.K. time (8:00 p.m. server time)
Main character class: Priest (Healer and DPS)
Any alt classes: Ranged DPS
Preferred playstyle: Semi-hardcore, optimally geared and specced characters, progression raiding. I am looking for a guild that is geared toward progression raiding and takes raiding seriously whilst retaining an understanding, patient, and friendly community. My problem is due to family commitments I cannot raid until 9:00 p.m. U.K. time (8:00 p.m. server time) which is too late for most guilds. I would be willing to start and lead a new guild based on later-than-usual raid times.
What you would bring to a guild: Efficiency, professionalism, understanding, willing to help new players, patience.
