HP Chromebook 11 review
When Google announced the new HP Chromebook 11 yesterday they marketed it as a laptop "for everyone." At $279, the new device certainly seems affordable, but given the limitations of Chrome OS, is it actually a worthwhile purchase? HP's latest offering combines impressive design, super light weight (2.3 pounds, or 1.04kg, to be exact) and a decent keyboard to make one of the best Chromebooks we've yet to see. Avegant's head-mounted virtual display hands-on
The VR market's heating up with companies like Vuzix, Sony and Oculus Rift all dishing out their own products. But Avegant's virtual retinal display is like nothing we've ever seen before. It delivers insanely sharp definition, and a realistic image by projecting content directly into each eye using an array of two million micromirrors. Samsung announces its curved smartphone: the Galaxy Round
Samsung's concave phone is indeed a real device. After being teased in a leak just hours ago, the company officially unveiled its new device, appropriately dubbed the Galaxy Round. The smartphone will come with a gently curved 1080p 5.7-inch OLED screen, a 7.9mm profile and a $1,000 price tag. To our surprise, the Round is quite different from the curved-screen prototype we saw earlier this year at CES -- where the screen merely curled over the edge of the device, as opposed to this handset's fully curved display. Hands-on with the 18 carat gold-plated HTC One
Is it a coincidence that Apple's gold iPhone should spark the production of an HTC alternative? We'll let you decide that one, but in the meantime let us walk you through the MOBO-branded gold HTC One. The device is plated in 18 carat gold, and has been declared the "most exclusive and expensive smartphone ever produced by HTC."
