Japanese indies head west with mecha brawls, manic shooters

Indie game localization studio and publisher Nyu Media announced a lineup of translated Japanese games that are slated to premiere throughout this winter and next spring for PC platforms, following up on its recent Kickstarter success.

Nyu Media will release a trio of titles from Satazius developer Astro Port, including the Cybernator-inspired mech combat game Gigantic Army and the shoot-'em-ups Armed Seven and Supercharged Robot Vulkaiser. The studio will additionally produce a Steam version of Souvenir Circ's beat-'em-up Croixleur, which will feature expanded content not found in the original release.

Nyu Media rounds out its release lineup with Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm, a crowdfunded 2D fighter developed by former King of Fighters series staffers. Release dates for Nyu Media's latest projects have not been announced.
