Tracks Air Bluetooth headphones by Motorola and SOL Republic can pair with two devices at once

Sharif Sakr

We've seen plenty of Bluetooth hardware with dual modes, dual channels, dual mics and even dual sub-woofers, but dual device connectivity? That's a little less common. It's a feature on the new Tracks Air headset from Motorola and SOL Republic, and it means you can listen to music or a movie on your tablet while still being able to receive a call from your mobile, rather than being forced to pair with just one or the other. Tracks Air cans won't come cheap, at $200, but they'll bring a bunch of other practically-minded specs, including a 150-foot range that could, according to the guys at SOL, potentially let you leave your phone in the gym locker while you listen to it on the treadmill (although we imagine a huge number of factors and reinforced concrete walls might get in the way of that). Battery life is claimed to be 15 hours, but there's a back-up cable so you're not left stranded on long journeys, and the "PowerTracks" headbands will be interchangeable with future colors and styles coming next year. Meanwhile, expect availability of the headset itself at major stores from early November.

Super Power Wireless

Never Miss a Beat

With a remarkable 15-hour battery life, Track's AIR has nearly twice as much power as most wireless headphones, so you won't have to worry about your headphones' charge dying during a long flight or marathon day at the office. If the battery does run low, you can conveniently plug in the standard SOL REPUBLIC cables that come with Tracks AIR and continue to enjoy your music.

Dual-Device Connectivity

Tracks AIR offers the convenience of dual-device connectivity so you can connect two devices simultaneously, such as your phone, tablet or computer. Seamlessly answer an incoming call while watching a movie on your tablet without having to disconnect devices. Swap from a movie on your tablet to your phone with the touch of a button. The dual-device connectivity allows you to easily switch back and forth without the hassle of discovering or disconnecting via Bluetooth and NFC pairing.

The new noise-isolating A2 Sound Engines also feature intuitively placed controls to ensure music lovers can pause, play, adjust volume and make phone calls with ease. A dual-microphone with CrystalTalk™ technology is built in to one of the Sound Engines, providing distortion-free calls anytime, anywhere.
