Joystiq Streams: Remembering the PS3 launch lineup [Watch the recap!]

Xav de Matos, @Xav

Update: The live show is done! Watch the replay above or check out the stream archive (broken up into pieces) on the official Joystiq YouTube Channel!

Look at how far we've come! After launching on November 17, 2006, the PlayStation 3 is about to be replaced by a new generation. PlayStation 4 launches on Friday.

As epic as the PS3 library ended up becoming, we remember how things kicked off. Launching new hardware can sometimes be a shaky proposition, typically resulting in less-than-stellar "Day One" games. How much can a console evolve after launch? See for yourself in this special edition of Joystiq Streams where we look back and laugh (and probably cry) at the games that shipped alongside the PS3.

Check out a list of the games we'll be playing Joystiq's Xav and Dave will be playing in today's stream, along with a PSN ID you can add to jump in on the fun (provided you still own one of these hot classics).

The stream will go live today at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. If you want to participate in the live discussion, subscribe to Joystiq's Twitch channel.
