WRUP: Remembering BlizzCon edition

mists preview blizzcon

BlizzCon is a week behind us. Unless you're an orc who's going to go back in time -- but not really, just kind of back in time, but in a bubbly confusing way -- and make BlizzCon now. Which would be bad for the work week but awesome for weekend shenanigans.

So, unless you're that orc, it's behind us. Some memories may fade, but some we'll carry with us. Which memories of BlizzCon 2013 are your favorite? The ones you'll tuck under your arm and take with you into gaming years long into the future. Let us know!

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) This weekend is going to be spent catching up on everything I missed while I was on the road, which is a LOT OF STUFF. Favorite BlizzCon memory is hard because I thoroughly enjoyed myself this year and there were so many moments! I finally met a friend who I have played with on and off since vanilla -- she and I have always kept in touch, even after ending up on different servers, but we'd never met in person until this year. I also met a few of my guildmates for the first time in person, which was cool too! Honestly I did a crazy amount of talking with so many amazing people this year that it's really hard to keep track or pick a favorite!

Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb) All the Reaper of Souls stuff inspired me to fire up D3 and get at least a few more Paragon levels before the expansion drops, so I'll probably be playing that mostly.

I will remember BlizzCon 2013 as the year I became... The Tuna Influencer.

Elizabeth Harper (@Faience) I just joined a new guild and will hopefully get back to playing more actively now that I have a group of people to do it with.

The best part of BlizzCon is, as ever, meeting and hanging out with people.

Matt "Matticus" Low (@matticus) After taking a much needed break from leveling my hunter deck to level 60 in Hearthstone, I'm now back at it with my warrior and paladin decks! Working on my third all gold deck now which requires quite a few pieces to unlock. On the side, I picked up Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

BlizzCon's always been about the people. Whether it was physically dragging Kristin to meet Watcher (Ion H.), watching my guild play beer pong, or just relishing in the atmosphere of the Hilton after party, I mean there's always something. I have a hard time really classifying one or two memories as better than the rest since they're all awesome in their own way.

Michael Gray (@writegray) Seeing old friends. I love seeing the machinima folks, staff members, and good friends over the years. That's what really make BlizzCon for me.

Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) will be playing the still in California game this weekend, and for a few more afterwards, but there's been talk of doing some 2vAI to get me learning about starcraft PvP, so I'm excited! And, of course, arenas. WoW, not Hearthstone, obviously.

Sarah Pine (@ilaniel) I am playing with the adorable puppy my husband and I are looking after for some friends who are out of town. Guys, she's so cute. But she keeps trying to eat my shoelaces.

As for BlizzCon, I had a lot of fun meeting a lot of my fellow WoW Insider staffers, as well as seeing some familiar faces and getting to know new folks as well! Oh and Faction Feud was the best. I hope they have it again next year.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
