The Queue: Saturday the 14th

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Okay, okay, maybe I forgot what yesterday was.

brandonlglaser asked:

Here's a question I haven't seen asked since Blizzcon, which surprised me cause I expected it... Reforging going away, okay... So the Grand Expedition Yak... Colossal money sink that I had dropped my WoW life savings on just a week before the Con, all so that I could have reforging into eternity... Did anyone say if it will get something special to replace the reforger, or is it now just a VERY expensive repair mount? I sorta feel like I made a huge mistake purchasing it now (that my money bags are empty).

The devs said that they're not quite sure what they're going to do with the reforging vendor on the Grand Expedition Yak, but said that changing it to a transmog NPC is a possibility. If you have a better idea, post it to the forums!

KuRo asked:

Who is Celestalon? Is he our new spectral guide to all things World-of-Warcraft Gameplay related?

Celestalon is Chadd Nervig, a technical designer for WoW. He deals with numbers-heavy gameplay stuff. Nutsy-boltsy business.

Salvatore asked:

Question! Does the Refer-A-Friend teleport ability bypass some of the phased starting zone restrictions? I picked up a second account during the Black Friday / Holiday sales for the mount and free levels, but it makes me wonder if I could, say, RAF teleport a hunter to a worgen or panda starting zone to tame a unique hunter pet or do a quest to get a top hat or other unique model quest reward.

You can't teleport in or out of the worgen/goblin/panda starting zones, even with RAF. Sorry!

AubreyE asked:

I was rereading the zone descriptions on the WoD website and realized something that wasn't really expounded upon. Talador is apparently under Iron Horde occupation. At least Shattrath is, anyway. Is there any more information on how much of Talrador is under Iron Horde occupation?

If the Iron Horde has taken over Shattrath, does that imply that the Draenei of Draenor past have taken significant losses before we even get a chance to help them?

There won't be any Naruu (yet) there to protect any of the Draenei cities. So perhaps they have just retreated to keep their losses down.

Shattrath is, at the point at which we start the expansion, under Iron Horde control. The draenei have undoubtedly suffered a few losses at that point, but probably nothing like what happened in the original timeline. They still have Karabor, Auchindoun, and other settlements. And don't worry, we'll at least see Shattrath -- in the raid.
