- Google has rolled out a new feature for Gmail that allows Google+ users to email you directly without knowing your email address -- unless you opt-out. Once again, this move is raising some privacy concerns.
- Numbers from Gartner show that Mac sales in the U.S. grew by 28.5 percent, while PC sales continued to shrink. Apple's overall marketshare in the US is now 13.7 percent. The adoption rate could be growing due, in part, to more corporations integrating Apple products into their workflows.
- More details about Apple's Lunar New Year sale in Asia are out: The company is offering up to US$40 off iPads and $100 off Macs, with assorted other discounts. It's offering what 9to5Mac terms as a rare discount on iPhones by knocking $50 off the price of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
