WRUP: And now the conclusion edition

Will she survive? Yes. Tune in next week to see that happen.

We've had a lot of fun with WRUP, but it's time to finally wrap up all of the long-lingering plot threads that we've had running. In this conclusion, Eliot and Bree will finally come to a mutually satisfying conclusion to a debate, at which point both of their heads will explode. Justin will consume a cup of the world's ultimate frozen yogurt, while Matthew and Matt will insist that Jasmine choose between them to decide who gets the last Hot Pocket.

Then the entire staff is slowly eaten by hyenas.

So now we... oh, wait, that's next week's episode. So please try and put all that out of your head as you read this week's WRUP about what we're going to be playing, and leave your own weekend plans down in the comments. You'll note that I left several other people's fates ambiguous, so guess your own conclusion! (Here's a hint: It's hyenas.)

Anatoli Ingram, Columnist

@ceruleangrey: This weekend I'll mostly be doing non-gaming stuff, but I'm still going to make time to fight Guild Wars 2's Twisted Marionette because it's a cool fight and my server is boss at it. It hits a good balance between being challenging enough to not be a snooze while still being accessible to anyone who wants to fight it, and as such it's just a fun group activity where everyone is cheering each other on in map chat and having a good time. Now if only I didn't keep getting stuck for hours on overflow! Alas. At least I get to watch the robot's head spin around, which is wicked.

Beau Hindman, Columnist

@Beau_Hindman: I'm going to be attempting to get over the depression brought on by the realization that WildStar really only appears to be a sci-fi World of Warcraft. I could be wrong, of course, but I've now watched several hours of livestreams and had chats with a handful of players, and... well, let's just say I hope I am wrong.

Other than that I will be killing Vanu in PlanetSide 2, getting some time in on Neverwinter, trying out Alganon's new stuff, and blowing stuff up in Defiance.

Bree Royce, Editor-in-Chief

@nbrianna: I'm playing the setting-up-my-new-laptop game. Installing all 12 disks of The Sims 3 took the better part of my day yesterday (seriously, it's 12, and that's without buying any of the extraneous "stuff" packs). Can't wait to see how this thing plays Guild Wars 2!

Eliot Lefebvre, Senior Contributing Editor

@Eliot_Lefebvre: Aside from the same games I play every weekend (Final Fantasy XIV, World of Warcraft, the WildStar beta), I finally went ahead and installed the Bravely Default demo. That mostly reminded me that I need to finish up my grand series-long playthrough of the Final Fantasy series at some point, so I'll be weaving in some Final Fantasy III whilst I'm out and about.

Justin Olivetti, Senior Contributing Editor

@Sypster: Now that I'm nightmare-gated for The Secret World, I probably should join the Noobmares channel and get some experience in. Or I could just ignore that and run around Transylvania doing all of the missions all over again for sweet, sweet AP. But chances are that you'll find me plowing through Moria in Lord of the Rings Online with my Lore-master. I figure that if I buckle down, I might see sunlight by Monday.

Larry Everett, Columnist

@Shaddoe: It's a Rakghoul event weekend in Star Wars: The Old Republic. I plan on serving Rakghoul for every meal. I'm gonna barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, and saute it. There's Rak-kabobs, Rakghoul creole, Rakghoul gumbo. Pan-fried Rak, deep-fried ghoul, stir-fried Rakghoul. There's pineapple Rakghoul, lemon Rakghoul, coconut Rakghoul, peppered Rakghoul, Rakghoul soup, Rakghoul stew, Rakghoul salad, Rakghoul and potatoes, Rakghoul burger, Rakghoul sandwich. That -- that's about it.

Mike Foster, Contributing Editor

@MikedotFoster: I just got into Dark Souls, so I'll be messing around with that until frustration forces me to stop. Also on deck: StarCraft II and Dota 2, which are two terrible games to play together as good habits in one are bad habits in the other.

Richie Procopio, Contributing Editor

@RichieProcopio: I have logged into Guild Wars 2 pretty much non-stop since the Origins of Madness patch landed on Tuesday. I desperately want to follow up my participation in the world first Tequatl kill with a world first kill of the new Great Jungle Wurm. So far my longest streak has been attempting the boss every two hours for 16 hours straight with no kill. I've got to run as we're trying again as I type this!

At the start of every weekend, we catch up with the Massively staff members and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game -- and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!
