GameStop announces MLB 14: The Show trade-up program
Baseball fans eager to get their hands on Sony's MLB 14: The Show prior to its PlayStation 4 debut can start their seasons early thanks to a GameStop trade-up program that allows early adopters to exchange a used PlayStation 3 version of the game for a PS4 edition at launch.
Starting next month, PowerUp Rewards members can bring a used PlayStation 3 copy of MLB 14: The Show to any GameStop retail location and trade it for the game's PlayStation 4 edition for just $19.99. GameStop further sweetens the deal with a pre-order incentive, giving PS4 players $20 worth of in-game "stubs" currency.
MLB 14: The Show is out now for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. The PlayStation 4 edition launches May 6.

GameStop Kicks Off Opening Day with Exclusive Deals On MLB 14: The Show
Retailer Offering Customers the Opportunity to Trade-Up to the PS4 Version
The cracking sound of the bat, big plays around the bases, and, of course, home runs: The 2014 baseball season has begun to kick-off in stadiums across the U.S., and on the Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita with MLB 14: The Show on April 1.
GameStop is making it easy to start the season right with a number of exclusive offers for fans of the big leagues. Customers who pre-order the game for the PS3 and PS Vita editions (available today), as well as the PS4 versions (available May 6), will automatically receive $20 of universal in-game currency, called "Stubs," that can be used for such perks as Diamond Dynasty Budget, Road to the Show Training Points, and more.
All customers that choose to trade in any items – from games and consoles to smartphones and tablets – toward the new MLB game will receive 30 percent additional in-store credit, with PowerUp Rewards Pro members earning 10 percent more, totaling 40 percent extra in-store credit. And for PowerUp Rewards members that want to upgrade from the PS3 version of the game to the PS4 version upon release, a trade-up program is being offered. PowerUp Rewards members can receive the PS4 version for $19.99 when they trade-in the PS3 version purchased from GameStop toward their purchase.
