Ragnarok Odyssey ACE nets demo, crossover DLC this month
Xseed's recently launched PS Vita and PlayStation 3 action-RPG Ragnarok Odyssey ACE will receive a bounty of free add-on content in the weeks leading up to a demo version hitting the PlayStation Network.
Starting this week, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE players can pick up the Gapap Tentacle and Homesick Sakura headpieces for free, along with additional clothing inspired by fellow Vita action-RPG Soul Sacrifice. May 6 will see the release of character accessories inspired by GungHo's MMORPG Emil Chronicle Online, while an exclusive helmet and background music from the mobile hit Puzzle & Dragons joins Ragnarok's free DLC lineup on May 13.
A demo of Ragnarok Odyssey ACE will premiere for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita on May 13.

SEED Games Confirms Ragnarok Odyssey ACE Demo Date, Launches Free SOUL SACRIFICE Crossover DLC
XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that a demo will be available on May 13, 2014 for Ragnarok Odyssey ACE , the action RPG title for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system. Additionally, free DLC releases with fan-favorite content lead up to the demo launch including the crossover "SOUL SACRIFICE" set, which is available now. The expanded follow up to the original hit PS®Vita release Ragnarok Odyssey, ACE comes with a host of all-new content, including cross-platform play between PlayStation®3 and PS®Vita, a first for the series. Ragnarok Odyssey ACE expands on the original Ragnarok Odyssey with all-new content, including the Tower of Yggdrasil, an enormous ever-changing dungeon that will challenge players with different layouts and enemies each time they enter. Furthermore, players will utilize the new "ACE Skill" system, an arsenal of powerful new moves that can be unlocked when enemies drop the "Proof of Expertise" item.
Also new to Ragnarok Odyssey ACE are a dozen elite AI mercenaries. Solo players can recruit any two of these NPCs to fight at their side. AI mercenaries are available for hire in various classes and both genders, so players can pick and choose companions that offset or support their particular character.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE delivers on rich, new – yet familiar – content to explore. The game features a plethora of new bosses, items and features that expand upon the original Ragnarok Odyssey experience. Players of the original Ragnarok Odyssey will be able to transfer their character's basic physical features such as name, face and job class (but not clothing), as well as weapon cards and monster cards (cards equipped to clothing or acquired via NEAR will not transfer over). Any additional DLC acquired can also be transferred by re-downloading it from the PlayStation Store.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is developed by Game Arts, creators of the Grandia and Lunar series, together with GungHo Online Entertainment in Japan. Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is published by XSEED Games in North America and released on April 1, 2014. The European release scheduled for April 30, 2014 is published by GungHo Online Entertainment America. This title has been rated T (Teen) by the ESRB.
