WRUP: E3 of future past

It's the end of E3 2014 and so much happened. So, so much. Like, all the much. If you missed any of it, here's some recaps for you to peruse for many, many hours:

What's everyone playing?


  • Alexander Sliwinski (@Sliwinski, Twitch): Using my Apple Hearthstone machine and catching up on real world responsibilities post E3.

  • Anthony John Agnello (@AJohnAgnello): I write this from a bus that I know have to ride because the train between New York and Newark airport is broken. To cope, I am playing Seething Rage, an Anthony Games exclusive playable only on My Brain. When I get home I'm going to play Kirby Canvas Curse.

  • Danny Cowan (@db_cowan, Twitch): I'm going to gaze lovingly at all the StreetPass puzzle pieces I collected during E3 and then maybe not think about video games for a while. Like...for an hour, or maybe even two.

  • Earnest Cavalli (@Ecavalli, Twitch): Much as I'm tempted to completely avoid games this weekend and actually recover from E3, let's face it: I'm a sucker for Capcom nostalgia. Thus, I'll be murdering zombies that remind me of childhood joy in Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha.

  • Jess Conditt (@JessConditt, Twitch): On the plane home, I want to finish reading Young Money. While I'm still young and all that.

  • Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK, Twitch): I really need to catch up on some iPad games, so I think I'll dive into Monument Valley, The Room 2 and Hitman Go.

  • Mike Suszek (@MikeSuszek, Twitch): I will be traveling right next to Sam while reading A Song of Ice and Fire. That's it. That's all I need. I'm not very interesting, noteworthy... probably not your favorite Joystiqer. But, you know what, people like me.

  • Richard Mitchell (@TheRichardM, Twitch): 1,001 Spikes on a Plane.

  • Sinan Kubba (@SinanKubba, Twitch): Harvest Moon because it's on the 3DS and it's the only console I still have battery for.

  • Sam Prell (@SamPrell, Twitch): Flying to LA I managed to squeeze in an episode of Wolf Among Us, so the flight back should let me catch up on Walking Dead Season 2.

  • Susan Arendt (@SusanArendt, Twitch): Gonna check out Emily Short's new text adventure, Blood & Laurels, and probably some Persona 4 Golden. Plane ride gaming, woo!

  • Thomas Schulenberg (@T_Schulenberg, Twitch): After the hands-off Witcher 3 demo I saw at E3, I'm going home and taking the plastic off my copy of Witcher 2. Witcher 3's world and cast looks incredibly inspired and I'd love to find a resemblance of that in the second game.

  • Xav de Matos (@Xav, Twitch): After I make the grueling trip home from E3 – which is about a 20 minute drive to the Valley – I'll probably tryout these Destiny and Battlefield Hardline alphas and/or betas.
