Destiny beta now with added robo-Dinklage

If you've been playing the Destiny beta, you'll no doubt have noticed Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage sounding a bit different. As CVG showcases excellently in a new video, the actor's much maligned performance as AI helper "Ghost" clearly underwent some robotic post-processing since the alpha.

And yes, that line about "the moon" has gone too. Check out the vid below the break.

It would be easy to say Bungie completely tweaked the vocals in response to the criticism, but the developer would probably say they were just unfinished. In a FAQ following the alpha, Bungie said the Ghost vocals would be updated for the beta and then again ahead of launch. "Funny thing about Alpha builds... they're not done," the FAQ quipped.

We wonder, does Dinklage himself care much about the criticism?

In any case, let us know what you think about the new vocals. Are they an improvement, or did you like how they were before? Would you prefer if he spoke like Tyrion Lannister?

If you hadn't guessed already, the Destiny beta is now up and running on PS4 and PS3, and next week sees it comes to Xbox systems. The game proper launches on Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 9.
