Destiny beta players blast off to the moon for a limited time

The Destiny beta is underway, and we've already taken a spin and discussed what we think about Bungie's first project since departing from the Halo series. But remember, not everything is fun and games here - a beta is a test after all, and Bungie would like your help testing their servers.

The development studio has put out a call for all beta players who are able to log on today at 2 p.m. Pacific/5 p.m. Eastern to create an in-game flash mob. Those who accomplish this heroic feat will receive a unique nameplate to commemorate the occasion, a reward Bungie teased earlier this week.

The real treat, however, is that for two hours only, players will be able to travel to the moon - you know, the place where that wizard came from? The event starts soon, so get locked and loaded while you can.
