Halo 2: Anniversary's new cinematics are a Blur of beauty



Halo: The Master Chief Collection made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this week, bringing with it new screenshots of the re-imagined "Zanzibar" map and a trailer showcasing Halo 2: Anniversary's revamped cutscenes.

Blur Studio, which has had its hand in many of today's most visually spectacular cinematics and commercials - including those for Halo 4 and Batman: Arkham Origins - is the company to thank for Master Chief and friends' high-res makeovers, while 343 Industries and Certain Affinity can claim responsibility for the new Zanzibar.

343 Industries Unveils New "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" Details at San Diego Comic-Con

Today, at a developer panel at San Diego Comic-Con, 343 Industries Community Manager Andy 'Bravo' Dudynsky, Franchise Development Director Frank O'Connor and Senior Producer Dennis Ries joined Certain Affinity President Max Hoberman and Blur Studios' Franck Balson to reveal new details for one of this year's most anticipated games – "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."

Highlighting the stunning Xbox One visuals of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection", the panel showcased the completely re-mastered campaign of "Halo 2: Anniversary" and revealed an all-new re-imagined competitive multiplayer map in the fan-favorite of "Zanzibar."

"Zanzibar" joins the multiplayer maps of "Ascension" and "Coagulation" as the third of six re-imagined "Halo 2" multiplayer maps found in "Halo: The Master Chief Collection." The next map will be revealed this August at gamescom.

Comic-Con attendees were also treated to a first-look at a trailer featuring the overhauled "Halo 2: Anniversary" cut-scenes, led by Blur.
