One Shots: There's no bear in panda

wow

As much fun as it is to be corrected by know-it-alls who like to huff things like, "You can't call them panda bears; they're not bears, you know!" it's even more fun to say, "Yuh-huh they're bears! And your face also has a ursine visage, especially around the snout."

I don't even know why I brought that up. It certainly has nothing to do with our opening screenshot from reader JohnD, who writes, "While starting off with my new Pandaren Monk in World of Warcraft, I came across these delightful Pandaren children, who seemed more than happy to just chat with me and occasionally wave. After a few minutes they quickly ran off -- but not before making my adventures a little more fun!"

But they're not bears. Or are they? Yes. No. I don't know.

This next beast is definitely not a bear. I'll probably lump it into the overcrowded "kitties with helm armor clipping issues" category, although you may call them "Charr."

"I saw this charr named Lucifurr hanging out next to a cuddly bunny in Guild Wars 2," reader Darla writes. "Hopefully this screenshot doesn't ruin her reputation."

Best cat pun name ever! I think we have a future star in the making right here.

I guess I unintentionally created a cute-and-cuddly theme with this week's column because the furry goodness doesn't stop with our next entry. This one is from repeat submitter Balsbigbrother, who brings us this adorable image from WildStar.

"Just thought I would send in a picture of my Chua Spellslinger, Huggin," he writes. "Even a psychotic megalomaniac rodent needs some down time so has to take a nap every now and then. Chua look really cute, at least when they are asleep."

OK, enough with the big-eyed pets; what about some serious storytelling? Anyone? Oh, thank you Frank. I knew I could depend on you! Class, let us all pay attention to Frank.

"Here is Axelay Hammerlocke making some tough decisions on a Marauder class story line. One of the great strengths of Final Fantasy XIV is the great cinematic storytelling. Every adventure feels epic and heroic."

Every day with Frank feels epic in heroic, ladies. What are you waiting for?

Our screenshot challenge this week is to take pictures of NPC pairs. Maybe it's two NPCs talking or fighting or kissing or being weirdos together, as long as (a) there are two of them and (b) you get a picture of them for me. Capisce?
