Apple upsets customers by not extending Black Friday deals to the UK
Black Friday shoppers in the UK were surprised this morning to discover Apple was not offering any promotions on the sales day that kicks off the holiday shopping season. Shoppers took to Twitter to express their surprise and frustration that Apple's traditional Black Friday discounts were only available in the US.
@AppleUK_ Don't appear to be in the black friday mood!

What happened with Apple? Normally every year they have a Black Friday sale, but no sign of this today in the UK. http://t.co/ebv8ZBEKH3

Unlike previous years which saw the UK stores participating in Black Friday promotions, Apple this year opted not to provide iTunes gift cards to UK customers who purchase Apple gear. In the US, Apple is including a gift card up to $100 with purchases of eligible Apple hardware.
Instead of a Black Friday sale, Apple UK is promoting its World Aids Day campaign, which is being held Monday, December 1. During this event, Apple will donate a portion of its sales to the Global Fund to Fight Aids.
