King of Fighters, Recettear headline Steam's anime game sale
Steam's latest promotion features games starring moon-eyed protagonists, adorable demons and melodramatic reactions to everything. In short, it's the Steam Anime Weekend Sale.
Highlights include both the gorgeous 2D fighter King of Fighters 13 and fantasy shopkeeping sim Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale at 75 percent off, retro roleplaying compilation Ys 1 and 2 Chronicles+ at 66 percent off and the recent Strider redux at half price. If none of those games scratch your itch for Japan's unique brand of weirdness, you could try romancing birds in Hatoful Boyfriend, a pigeon dating sim that's now 40 percent off.
