Skype for Android lets you schedule calls, open Office files

The video, voice and chat app gets two more handy tools.

Skype is constantly getting new tools to make call-related tasks easier, and today the Android version received two more. First, there's now an option for scheduling calls in the mobile app. Select the contact you want to schedule a call with and select the appropriate item from the drop-down menu. This will allow you to block off time in Outlook or your calendar app of choice.

If you need to reference an Office document, spreadsheet or presentation during a chat, you can provide a link to those files in Skype. Tapping on the file name during a convo automatically opens the file in the appropriate app. If you don't have it installed, you'll get instructions on how to get the software you need to view it. To grab these new features, you'll need the latest version of Skype for Android, which is available at Google Play now.
