Breakthrough in 3-D Micro-Printing Leads to Exciting Opportunities

In the latest news on 3-D printing technology, there has been a breakthrough that is set to revolutionize how we are able to do 3-D micro-printing. Thanks to the latest development from Optomec, we are now able to use composite and polymer structures to print at a micron scale. This development will change the way we are able to use 3-D printers on a micro scale.

Although we have had the ability to perform 3-D printing on this level in the past, the cost to do it was a prohibitive factor. This breakthrough is expected to cut down on costs significantly, allowing new advancements in the micron three-dimensional printing states.

A breakthrough like this has major potential to cut down on not only the cost but also the size of our future electronics. Not only will this improve our abilities to make electronics and microchips more affordable and more powerful than ever before, we can also use this technology for the biomedical industry as well.

There is no limit to how a technology like this will be able to help us in the future. Now that we have uncovered an affordable way to perform three-dimensional printing on a micro level, developers are expected to begin investigating ways that they can implement this technology in other ways.

Optomec is excited about their new breakthrough. They feel it has a place in the next generation of electronic that we will see in the coming decade.

Optomec, a US-based company, specializes in manufacturing aerosol jet technology used in printing electrical components and lens equipment that is used in the 3-D printing of metals.

In order to develop this technique, Optomec combined in-situ curing along with aerosol jet. By doing this, they were able to print on the micro level at an average cost that is much lower than the techniques that have previously been used.

The difference between this technique and previous approaches is that this method uses both local curing and local deposition together when forming high-resolution prints.

The advantage of this method is that it is a lot more conservative in the amount of material that it uses to create the high-definition prints. This economical use of materials is also the reason they're able to print using the highest resolutions possible.

With this type of technology, we will now be able to create three-dimensional structures free-form on a microscopic scale without requiring a heavy investment to do so. With amazing breakthroughs like this happening all the time, there is no telling what is in store for us next.

3-D printing has become a fixture in all aspects of our lives as we continue to develop better ways to implement it into our world.
