At the IMAX theater in New York's Lincoln Center, Acer CEO Jason Chen showed off his company's upcoming back-to-school lineup of products, including new Switch laptops and detachables, as well as a fanless all-in-one. The new Swift 1 and Swift 3 laptops expands the company's existing lineup of super-thin notebooks. They come in 13-, 14- and 15-inch models with full HD displays and colorful aluminum bodies, and sport fingerprint readers for Windows Hello biometric logins.

Then there are the Switch detachables, which were previously known as Switch Alpha. Two new models are available: the Switch 3 and Switch 5. Both devices feature 12-inch displays and run Windows 10. However, the higher-end Switch 5 has a sharper 2K resolution, and stands out for its auto-retractable kickstand that you can adjust with one hand. It also has a fingerprint reader for convenient logins. The Switch 3, meanwhile, is a pretty run-of-the-mill detachable, with an adjustable kickstand, full HD display and support for Acer's Active Pen.

As for the all-in-one desktop, Acer only said that it's the "world's first" fanless AIO, and there are no details yet on how much it'll cost or when it will be available. Stay tuned, though, as we'll be taking a closer look at these computers later today.

Update: We published our hands-on impressions of the Switch 5 convertible, which you can find here.
