Amar Toor

Associate Editor
Amar lives in France, but only because he enjoys looking at pretty things and relishes any opportunity to not spend energy -- which, incidentally, could also explain his love for gadgets. It's an affair that began during his childhood and one that, like all his other romances, will probably leave him destitute and hospitalized. Prior to joining Engadget, he wrote for Switched, chopped tomatoes for a catering company in New York, and spent a few months living in India, where he conducted research on public health. When he's not writing, he can usually be found watching old films on the Rue des Ecoles, or wandering aimlessly along the Seine.
