Theo Jansen Strandbeests (Strandtiere) sind kybernetische Kunstwerke, die per Druckluft oder Wind getrieben durch die Landschaft - bevorzugt über Strände - zuckeln, was dann meist herzallerliebst ausschaut. Jetzt bietet Jansen maßstabsgetreue und (mechanisch) funktionstüchtige Modelle seiner Kreationen feil, die per 3D-Drucker produziert werden, was selbstredend auch wieder Kunst ist: Die "digitale DNA" der Strandbeests fließe direkt in den Fertigungsprozess, erklärte der umtriebige Erfinder.
