La presentación del sistema operativo BlackBerry 10 está llevándose a cabo en estos precisos momentos, y el CEO de la compañía, Thorsten Heins, acaba de hacer un anuncio inesperado: Research In Motion pasará a llamarse BlackBerry.

Esto tiene mucho sentido si consideramos que RIM sólo fabrica y desarrolla productos BlackBerry, y muchos consumidores han confundido desde siempre lo uno con lo otro. Se trata de un paso crítico en la carrera de la compañía de Waterloo por rehacer su imagen, aunque si sigues la actualidad en Engadget, estamos seguros de que nunca llegaste a confundir a RIM con sus productos. ¿O tal vez sí?
