Engadget Review

Akai’s MPC Live II is an all-in-one portable studio in the truest sense thanks to the addition of built-in speakers. With lots of connectivity options and solid build quality, it’s both versatile and should survive regular gigging. The onboard software instruments are respectable, but lack the range of its main rival, Native Instruments’ Maschine+. However, if you’re looking for something that can live at the centre of your setup, but also work fully on its own, this is a great option.
