I own the Clamcase for iPad 2, black. The Clamcase is and does exactly what it is supposed to: provide a wireless keyboard experience for the iPad, encasing it in a shell like a laptop. It's well built and feels very rugged. I have been using it a modest amount for the past two days, but will use it more in the near future. Hinge functions perfectly. iPad snaps in with a solid click. Keys are decent (not up to Apple's quality), but the only complaint about keys is because the keyboard is, necessarily, smaller than 100%. Pluses: - functions great as an iPad stand - holds and protects iPad well - shortcut keys are helpful Necessary compromises: - weight. More than doubles the weight of the iPad. It's necessary to hold the iPad in place. - great keyboard for the size, but it's obviously small because they built it to the iPad's size Minuses: - front lip doesn't appear to line up perfectly - opening and closing the case all the time reduces the coolness and ease-of-use of the iPad - bluetooth connection for keyboard always takes a few seconds when you start it up I am looking forward to using the case more and more. I plan on using the iPad for writing, and this case was necessary for me. I know it makes it like a mini-laptop, but I love so many features of the iPad that this case brought the two together. I am confident in the purchase!
