The Aero 17 HDR XB is another strong model in Gigabyte’s powerful hybrid laptop lineup. The key feature is a very bright and colorful 4K 17.3-inch HDR display. As usual, it has an understated design that hides great specs, including Intel’s 8-core i7-10875H CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q graphics. That helps it fly for both video editing or gaming. It is a bit heavy, though and has a poorly positioned webcam.

Definitely yesIf you're looking for a creativity-focused desktop replacement, or even an after-hours entertainment system that doesn't take up massive space on your desk and doesn't look like an obnoxious gaming rig, the Gigabyte Aero 17 HDR is a fine choice. The modest flexibility in the chassis is only a concern for people who plan to use the notebook as a mobile laptop instead of the desktop alternative it was clearly designed to be, and its swift performance and sunny, colorful 4K screen are huge pluses.Tom's Hardware70Balanced PerformanceGigabyte’s Aero 17 HDR XB balances content creation and gaming needs while looking like a trim workstation. Its screen, battery life, and performance are quite good. Just know that the webcam is stuck awkwardly above the keyboard.TechRadar80Impressive performance and display quality inside a bulky packageThe combination of an Intel 10th Gen CPU, Nvidia RTX Super graphics and a fast SSD deliver exceptional work performance. The Aero will handle virtually anything short of proper workstation software, and it’s better than the MacBook Pro here.TrustedReviews80Gigabyte Aero 17 HDR ReviewThe Gigabyte Aero 17 HDR is packed with incredible power and has a superb screen -- and none of its issues are too serious. It doesn't quite sate every scenario -- and it's hardly cheap. Nevertheless, the Gigabyte Aero 17 HDR is an ideal laptop for work tasks and a decent alternative to the Razer Blade Studio Edition and MacBook Pro.Notebookcheck90Super Max-Q at the StartWhile content creators appreciate a bright 4K display with accurate colors, thanks to the octa-core CPU and high-end GPU, gamers also get what they need. Also Gigabyte has thought of (almost) everything else as well. The robust case scores with good input devices and an ample amount of connection equipment including Thunderbolt 3. The battery life is also impressive for a gaming notebook.
