Beautifully designed, sporting excellent connectivity, a powerful processor, lots of features and strong battery life, HP's Pavilion dm4 is one of the most attractive 14in laptops we've come across and should definitely be high on your to-buy list.

TechRadar
The HP Pavilion dm4 is very nearly a solid all-rounder, and a laptop that we'd heartily recommend. Unfortunately, the ropey touchpad regularly ruined our mood, and conjured forth a stream of expletives.

PC Mag
As far as mainstream laptops go, the HP Pavilion dm4 is a powerful one, and with a battery that lasts well over seven hours.

Other than its flaky navigation input, the $904 system – though it's a bit overpriced compared to the competition -- packs just the right balance of style, power and endurance. We much prefer the dm4's aesthetic to comparable systems like Dell's Inspiron 15 and Gateway's offerings.

Though lacking in graphics performance, the HP dm4 Beats Edition features great design and sound at a good starting price.

Laptop Magazine
The HP Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition delivers strong performance, a fast boot time, and plenty of audio oomph in a striking design.

The only real knock against this chic-looking 14-inch multimedia laptop is its plastic body; other than that, this is a great midrange laptop with a unique, eye-catching design.
