Engadget Review

The Lenovo Smart Clock is first and foremost, a clock. It doesn’t have support for videos and photos, but it more than makes up for it with clock-centric features like a sunrise alarm and alarm reminders. On top of that, it has all the power of Google behind it, so you can control your smart home, check your calendar, play your favorite tunes and access any Nest cams you own. The Smart Clock might not be the best smart display out there, but it’s definitely the clock we want on our nightstands.

Though we miss the more visual card style of larger Google Home devices, the Lenovo Smart Clock gets your bedroom connected in an unassuming, useful form factor.

Above all I appreciate the simplicity of what Lenovo's going for, and its resulting $79.99 pricetag. The product feels more at home on a nightstand than any other smartspeaker, except maybe the Echo Show 5.

TrustedReviews
Rather than simply squeezing the current Google Smart Displays into a smaller package, the Lenovo Smart Clock has been built to be an alarm clock first and foremost, which makes it easier to use and better suited for its primary function.

CNET
While not perfect at any one task, the Lenovo Smart Clock does a lot of things well enough to be a helpful addition to your nightstand.

The Lenovo Smart Clock doesn't do as much as other smart displays, but it makes the most of its limited feature set.

The Verge
On its own, the Smart Clock is perfectly fine, and I could see a lot of people having no trouble spending $80 for what it does. But compared to the other smart displays available, it feels incomplete and less useful than it could be.

Tom's Guide
With a smart design and smarter features, the Lenovo Smart Clock is a simple and practical realization of what a smart clock should be.

If you're a Google dependent user then the integration of Calendar, Alarms, Nest Cam, Routines and more will make the Smart Clock a great integration and control hub for your smart home.

The clock’s most obvious limitations are expressed around features that have to do with its size. Not only will it not show you photos, but it also doesn’t show videos.

For just a few more dollars, Lenovo's Smart Clock improves on the Google Home Mini with an always-on display for showing the time.
