T410s is a complete piece of crap & customer support is even worse! You guys forget to rate customer service! It's AWEFUL!!!!Lenovo product has so much engineering issues and the customer service is horrendous!1. Cracked palm resthttp://forum.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T410s-Palmrest-Crack-Last-Thinkpad-Ever/m-p/...2. Audiojack Noises which can't be fixhttp://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T410s-audio-jack-noise/m-p/5854693. GPU overheat and shutdown systemhttp://forum.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T410s-graphics-overheating-issues/td-p/26207...There are more, BUT three strike and you are out!I have a T410s for the past 13 months. Since day one, the FPS drops to 2-4 while running a few apps to do my work (Mathematica, Wolfram Alpha and Stats+) at the same time. I bear through it all for the first 10 months then the system began to gets too hot and shutdown. Last straw was when it shutdown while I was doing my presentation. After an hour being walk through by a service rep and long argument with him. He finally agreed to have it send in for service. February 5, sent it into service depot. They sent with back with "replaced" fan and a crack palm rest. Fifteen minutes after I got it back, the system shutdown on me again. After two hours and a half hours of checking, explaining and arguing with the rep that the crack palm rest is not my fault, the rep finally agreed for me to send it back. Back it went to depot. They replaced the motherboard and the cracked palm rest area-- which occurs on a lot of T410's.One week later with no shutdown issue, but as I plug the overhead system into the headphone jack, there was a high pitch noise and static going through the audio system. I tried to ignore the sound and power through the presentation. A quarter way through, one of the audience stop me and asked me to switch my computer b/c he couldn't stand the noise. Embarrassed, I switched out with a Mac Powerbook! *sigh*Back the T410s went to the service depot on March 5. It has been there since! First week, the tech "could not reproduce the sound." I quickly called back and tell them that it's from the headphone jack, not the built-in speakers. Second weeks rolled by and still no solution. But when I checked on the web for the status of repair, it stated that it was sent back to me and drop off at the "Office." I panicked and rushed home. Searched high and low, but no laptop. Thought UPS lost my laptop, but UPS informed me that the laptop was sent to NC. Of course, it was Saturday and give me the reason why it was sent to NC.Long story short, the service was escalated and willing to replace the piece of crap to a T420s. She sent over a quote with the systems with less RAM, CPU, without Multitouchscreen, etc. I nicely replied with my original spec sheet. She sent back with the same spec but can't replace the touchscreen b/c they don't offer on the T420s anymore.*Shout* Lenovo, not my problem that you don't offer it anymore. You have to match with total value of the system.Anyways, T410s is still with the engineers who can't figure out how to fix it and the service rep won't give me the equivalent value for the my T410s!From February 5 until now, March 24, I don't have a laptop that I paid a premium price. This is such a joke! What a waste of time, money and energy.Over 15 years of using Thinkpad from 700T to T61--just dated myself, this is by far the worst Thinkpad experience. Lenovo have officially destroyed a great brand.I know there are limited availability of products out there, but I don't want to pay a premium price for a crappy product and customer service.

The T410s would be the perfect combination of power and portability if the battery life wasn't so poor. If you travel a lot get yourself the ultrabay battery (advanced ultrabay battery III, part number: 57Y4536).
