The LG LM6700 is a striking HDTV, sporting the nearly bezel-free design pioneered by Samsung and now adopted by most TV manufacturers. As a 2D set, it offers good, but not outstanding, picture quality, with black levels that aren't as deep as they could be. 3D is passive, which means glasses are cheaper (the LM6700 ships with 6 pairs), but also means you'll need to view the set head-on to get the best 3D out of it. LG's quirky, motion-based, remote may also take some getting used to. Ultimately, this is a decent HDTV, but there are better options available.
