Engadget Review

While it lacks the style and charm of the 2014 Moto X, the Droid Turbo is a powerhouse that manages to outperform its relative in nearly every way that matters. Sadly, it's a Verizon exclusive so the rest of you (unless you live in Brazil and Mexico and buy a Moto Maxx) need not apply.

The DROID Turbo is the best Motorola smartphone on the market today. That is, if you don't mind your inability to get the device with a wooden back panel or custom colors.

Verizon bloat aside, it's a phone for gadget purists. If you've ever wanted a Droid, now's the perfect time to put one in your pocket.

Kudos to Motorola for focusing on packing as much functional excellence into this hardware as possible, however, even when that required sacrifices in terms of device bulk.

DroidLife
It feels premium, looks better than previous DROID phones, has excellent battery life, and performs flawlessly. If you are a Verizon customer, this should be a phone on your short list. If you aren’t on Verizon, well, sorry.

The Motorola DROID TURBO Android Smartphone is a great phone. It has almost everything that I could want in a smartphone including a fast processor, great display, great camera, active display, long battery life and Qi wireless charging.

Verizon is going to sell a huge number of Droid Turbos, and I think that the people who end up buying them will be making a good choice.

If you care about battery life and performance more than gimmicky sensors and metal or leather cases, then the latest Droid is a fantastic option.

The Droid Turbo by Motorola trades elegance for brute force, elevating the Droid brand back into the upper echelon of Android smartphones.

The Motorola Droid Turbo is a great choice if you’re a Droid loyalist looking to upgrade. It’s also one of the few attractive smartphones with a high degree of mishap-proofness. And anyone who wants or needs seriously long battery life won’t be disappointed here.
