The Nintendo 3DS is a great portable system. As someone who has been with Nintendo's handheld's since the Game Boy Pocket, each every upgrade through the last decade was better and better. I remember being so happy when I traded in my GBA plug in light for a Nintendo DS with Super Mario DS. The backlight was more than I needed to be happy. The 3DS was the ultimate culmination of all those ideas and I was compelled to get one the day they came out. At first Face Raiders and the Streetpass functions could get me by without a game library. With the introduction of Pokemon X and Y my friends and I spent the whole summer playing on our 3DS systems. I give the 3DS a 10/10 because it was what everything was leading to and it paid off extremely well.

A forgettable product. It isn't bad, exactly, but also doesn't do anything particularly well. - Engadget
