Engadget Review

The Shield Wireless Controller is a solid gamepad in its own right, outfitted with plenty of useful bells and whistles for interacting with your NVIDIA devices. But the high price tag leaves a sting since you can't use it with anything but those NVIDIA devices.

The good news is that aside from the mortal sin of non-offset thumbsticks (haters come at me), the Shield controller is damn solid as far as mobile controllers, a solid enough be in league with the real, console competition.

AnandTech
The controller itself is just as good as the one on the Shield Portable. The buttons, triggers, bumpers, and joysticks are all very close in feel.

SlashGear
The SHIELD Wireless Controller connects and responds - or by all means seems to connect and respond - as quick as a PS4 or an Xbox One controller.

70
GameSpot
On the whole, the controller works well, with its proprietary WiFi connection remaining stable throughout.

Android Central
If you're serious about gaming with your Shield Tablet, or have any intention at all of using it in Console Mode while connected to a TV across the room, you just have to go with the Shield Wireless Controller.

DroidLife
All in all, the SHIELD Controller is a sweet little piece of hardware, perfectly paired with the SHIELD Tablet, but we do sort of wish that it was priced at $49.99 instead of $59.99.

Android Police
It's a solid piece of gaming equipment, and easily the best controller available for Android today.
