Engadget Review

Flower Power can be useful to help you monitor your plants' overall health, and point out when one of them might need extra attention. However, if you need the device to remind you that you actually have a plant, you'll likely be disappointed.

Parrot done gone killed my plant!I got the Parrot Flower Power to keep a watchful eye over my Venus Fly Trap as I've managed to kill 2 in as many years. While the product looks and feels great and the improved application is a pleasure to use the overall capabilities of the service seem to be lacking. My plant died in under 2 weeks due to over exposure to the sun and high temperatures!Having contacted the support centre and my case going to the development team I still had to point out fundamental flaws in the database not recognising prolonged exposure to sun light and temperatures exceeding recommended levels. Any idiot can read a graph but it seems that the development team weren't capable of seeing the 5 long hours of +30° heat and 80+ of whatever sunlight is measured in that my plant received which should have triggered an alert.I can't help thinking that although the product is marketed as having a 7000 plant Database this seems to be a 'fire and forget' offering from Parrot.I wonder if somewhere within the small print there is section that covers "We accept no responsibility for dead plants"

Fantastic design and integration with my plants. Overall the functions it offers are very good and useful. But the App needs a good update to be more user friendly (UX), and it is sometimes a bit frustrating to need to be close to the plant and with the app open to have updates. Future 3rd-party home hubs may be a good help to this limitation.
