Engadget Review

Razer’s 14-inch Blade is its most powerful laptop to date, not to mention its most affordable. Strong internals, an attractive build and long battery life make it a solid option for gamers and non-gamers alike.

We found that it's a stoutly built machine. There is a teeny bit of flex if you press on the lid, but the keyboard deck is as solid as can be. Furthermore, we found the trackpad to be hyper accurate both with single-finger movements and taps -- among the best we've ever used on a Windows machine.

TechRadar
All in all, Razer has put together a machine that ... plenty of gamers are going to want. It's also set the stage for a whole new niche of gaming laptops, one that should accelerate rather rapidly.

There are some lingering questions: how's the battery life? How does it run during more prolonged sessions? Is it worth the $1,799.99 price tag? I'll be answering these questions soon in my review, but as things stand, I'm very optimistic.

The new Blade feels like a MacBook Air without the sharp edges, though its sleek, matte black aluminum case feels a little flimsier than the MacBook Air’s aluminum unibody.

Weighing 4.1 pounds, the Blade has a practical feel. Measuring 13.6 inches by 9.3 inches and 0.66 inch thick, it's a lot smaller than most laptops, but thicker than most ultrabooks -- hence the Retina MacBook Pro comparison. It slid easily into my backpack and made for an easy commute.

I played a few minutes of Metro: Last Light on the Blade and it ran flawlessly on very high settings. FRAPS wasn't running, but I'd guess the game was hitting around 35-45 FPS. The gentleman next to me was running Crysis 3 and getting similar results.

The first thing we noticed about the Razer Blade 14 is its stunning, all-black aluminum chassis. Like its big brother, the Blade 14 has a number of bright green accents that give it that unique Razer look and feel.

PC Mag
We had our first opportunity to see the new 14-inch Razer Blade, and it looks fantastic. ... The new Blade takes that portability further, trimming the weight to 4.13 pounds and measuring only 0.66-inch thick when closed.
Product Review
Pocket-Lint
The Razer Blade 14 unhinges the typical gaming laptop concept: this slender 14-inch slab is far smaller and thinner than a typical gaming laptop but doesn't hold back on the power or specification.

Ditching gimmicks and delivering on function, Razer's slim 14-inch gaming laptop marries true power and good battery life in an excellent PC. All it lacks a stellar display.
