There's a lot to like about this in spite of a few flaws.

How we score

The Engadget Score is a unique ranking of products based on extensive independent research and analysis by our expert editorial and research teams. The Global Score is arrived at only after curating hundreds, sometimes thousands of weighted data points (such as critic and user reviews).

Engadget Summary

Samsung's ES8000 is an ultra-thin, light, and sleek series of LED-lit LCD TVs, with superb picture quality, good 3D output, and a great range of smart TV and home-networking features. The ES8000 handles video motion well, has good black levels and accurate color reproduction, and has a good Game mode that meets most of the motion and resolution needs of today's gaming consoles. You'll pay handsomely for all of these features; the 46-inch version sells for about $2,000, well above the price of many other LED sets, and double the price of some of Samsung's other LED models, such as the ES6500.
