How we score

The Engadget Score is a unique ranking of products based on extensive independent research and analysis by our expert editorial and research teams. The Global Score is arrived at only after curating hundreds, sometimes thousands of weighted data points (such as critic and user reviews).

Engadget Summary

The Jetpack 890L is an affordable portable hotspot for Verizon Wireless customers. It will work in over 200 countries, can connect up to 10 devices simultaneously, and gets great speeds on Verizon's 4G LTE network. If you're already a Verizon Wireless customer, the 890 can be added to your shared data plan for $20 a month. If it's your only Verizon device, be prepared to pay at least $50 a month to use it.
