As in, "treasure," only with a thick accent. Scott Ramsoomair always seems to have the magic touch; once again, his VG Cats strip claims the top spot of this week's webcomic wrapup. Out of all the things our Fable 2 dog has discovered in the grounds of Albion, this makes a lot more sense than, say, a shiny hat.Second and third place go to Tough Times (Luke Surl Comics) and Fixing an Election (2P Start). Thanks to everyone who voted, as well as for all the logos (and your opinion/critiques thereof). Be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week! Although we prefer the alternative over the "official" comic, 2P Start's Avoiding Controversy was, by a narrow margin, crowned champion in this week's webcomic wrapup. Second and third place go to A Broken Clock (Penny Arcade) and Every Single Day (Cross Platform), respectively. A big thanks to those who have already sent in logos, but we're still hoping for a few more selections, preferably ones less flashy and more akin to the Joystiq aesthetic. Yes, we're bossy about these sort of things, but we'll be sure to show you the cream of the crop in the next week or so.As always, thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week! (Protip: It's best to use the comments field for that kind of stuff, or if you go via our tip line be sure to include "webcomic" in the subject.)

The verdict is still out on the accuracy of the comic, but 2P Start's Little Big Zone won the popular vote for the week's best webcomic. Sega, the spiky blue ball is in your court to prove us wrong.Second and third place goes to Penny Arcade's The Deluge and Dueling Analog's Pixel Twist. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week! It's a rare-yet-joyous day when the gaming comic we really want to see win actually does earn the popular vote. Joystiq readers, thank you for picking 2P Start's Echochrome Auditions. No, really, we think you made the right choice. You should consider doing that more often. Second and third place both went to Penny Arcade (Magnum Opus and The Great Divide, respectively, although the commenters are right that all three of their comics last week were gold). Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week! (Protip: It's best to use the comments field for that kind of stuff, or if you go via our tip line be sure to include "webcomic" in the subject or it will likely get ignored.)

It was a photo finish for the top three webcomics this week, with only 16 votes separating first from third. 2P Start's Great Debate earns the much-coveted (hey, let us dream) crown of best game-related webcomic. Second and third place, and only by a teensy bit, go to Penny Arcade's Thinking Small and Super Effective's SQUIR-. Maybe it's the upcoming expo, or that we made the focus of this week's wrapup on the comic series, or maybe (just maybe) it was the favored gaming comic. Whatever the reasons, Penny Arcade's "A Life of Service" took top honors in the webcomic wrapup. Second place was taken by 2P Start's Level Up!, while Hijinks Ensue's Scared Straight claimed a distant third. A special mention goes to Robot Martini's two great tastes, which came in last place, even though we actually quite enjoyed it. A flood of Greek letters coming after us is just like those dreams we had in high school the night before our Calculus exams. So it's only natural that 2P Start's The Fundamental Theorem of War bring back intense feelings of elation (or perhaps pain and suffering, if you're not huge math geeks). Fitting for us, then, that it had the highest rate of change from 0, or more accurately, it had the most votes in this week's webcomic wrapup.Second and third place both went to Penny Arcade with Anguish and For Your Consideration, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted; be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week!

Eliciting over 100 comments for the post, Scott Ramsoomair's "Waiting" VG Cats comic was certainly one of the more debated wins of the webcomic wrapup series.Second and third place both go to 2P Start ("A Different Directive" and "Goomba vs. Roomba", respectively -- remember, we want you to vote for individual strips and not the webcomic series itself). A special nod goes to Monday Night Crew's George Carlin tribute. Thanks to everyone who voted and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week!

For the Rush reference and a Seussical interpretation of Guitar Hero V's drum set, we handily hand Hijinks Ensue this week's webcomic wrapup award.Second and third place go to Penny Arcade and 2P Start, respectively. Some say they were picked by merit of being Penny Arcade. Still, we think this strip was rather poignant and quite deserving in its own right of this week's Webcomic Wrapup. We'd love to present a trophy, but we're not so good in the art department and Gabe doesn't return our emails. Maybe we have to beat him at WoW TCG to get his attention.Second and third place go to 2P Start and CAD, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any gaming comics you stumble upon this week! Well, actually ... since we have to get back on schedule, you've only got about 20 hours to get our attention.

This week's webcomic wrapup was over before it started. There's something ever-so beautiful about Christopher Robin's fantasy being played out through our fantasy of capturing intelligence, building sentry guns, and using a flamethrower in a virtual, carefree environment. Our hats are officially off to you, Fanboys-Online.Second and third place go to 2P Start and Penny Arcade, respectively. Tim Harding has redeemed his score change. His one-half contribution to 2P Start's "Lego my statue" strip this week one-half earned him one-half of the award for the week's best game-related webcomic. Second and third place go to Fanboys Online – from a week prior but we tragically missed it – and XKCD, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomic you stumble upon this week!

Joystiq readers love Scott Ramsoomair. Like, love love. Anything the VG Cats artist touches pretty much shoots to the top of the webcomic wrapup by default. So his spinoff strip, Super Effective, unsurprisingly took very top honors this week.Second and third place go to 2P Start and Digital Unrest, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week!

Personally, use of power items on the Olympics would make them exponentially more entertaining. Penny Arcade's "Disincentives," which gave us this mental image, took first place in this week's webcomic wrapup.Second and third place go to 2P Start--our personal favorite this week--and Dueling Analogs, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week!

We love the weeks when the winning game-related webcomics seem to garner the most negative comments. However, the winner is decided by votes and not naysayers, so we're giving the (digital and valued at US $0) trophy to Dueling Analogs this week.Second and third place to go 2P Start and Funny Farm, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomic you stumble upon this week!

Perhaps its apt timing or name brand (both the comic and the topic), but VG Cats' Going Online webcomic took first place in this week's wrapup. Second place goes to newcomer Cectic and third place 2P Start, beating out by just a handful of votes Dueling Analogs' morbidly fun Professor Layton comic. One hundred Kirby amalgams make for one hundred different avatars. Special thanks to VG Cats' Scott Ramsoomair for the Grim Fandango-inspired Kirby. As prize, we (and the Joystiq voters) crown the strip best webcomic of the week.Second and third place go to 2P Start (another great source of avatars) and Penny Arcade, respectively. 2P Start has a Patapon-inspired comic on their site, filled with puns (or as we call em, Pata-puns, get it?). It's a cute effort that managed to break through our cold, bitter hearts. Is that a smile that we're donning? How uncomfortable.Pacapon is one of our favorites. What about you?

Oh, how we adore you, Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Not only are you one of the most distinguished DS games of the year so far, but you're also proving a rich source of inspiration for webcomic artists everywhere.Penny Arcade's take on the Professor's adventure set our ROFLcopter in motion the other day, and our giggling continued after seeing 2P Start's answer to the biggest puzzle of all. Hit the break for the full (totally-safe-for-work) comic!See also: 2008's Biggest Blips -- Professor Layton and the Curious Village%Gallery-12504%

Given the recent surge in Mass Effect mass hysteria (we could've done the obvious pun, but we like to practice self-control), it's comforting that we can laugh about it all. Kudos to Penny Arcade for a poignant satire relating to "virtual orgasmic rape" (itself a funny satire, we wish). Oh yeah, it was also voted this week's best game-related webcomic.Second and third place go to Strange Gods and 2P Start, respectively. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week!
