  • Is this Nokia's 7310 Classic?

While clearly not aimed at the deep-pocketed folks looking at those fancy N96s, the purported 7310 Classic makes us remember why S40 mobiles are still viable in a plethora of scenarios. Though we haven't seen anything official from Nokia, word on the street has the candybar likely checking in with a 2.2-inch QVGA display, multimedia player, built-in Bluetooth, a FM radio and some form of expansion slot. Granted, all of those specs are still speculative at the moment, but feel free to tap the read link for a few more pics and lots of rugged machine-translated conjecture.[Via Mobile Bulgaria, thanks Momchil]

  • Pulse for BlackBerry cuts the tethering cable

Sure, tethering 8700s to Macs is a neat trick -- but how about cutting the cable entirely? "Pulse" by Brain Murmurs aims to do exactly that, trading that pesky USB cable for the more convenient Bluetooth connection (and yeah, it's Mac compatible, to boot). Pearl users might have no concept of what we're talking about (on account of RIM's latest goodness coming with DUN in the box) but Pulse should be big news for 7130, 7290, and 8700 owners looking for a moderately less conspicuous way to pipe hot data from their phones into their PCs. Be sure to give us the down-low in comments if you get the chance to give this a whirl, eh?

  • Blackberry 7130v coming to the UK and US in July?

Even though Cingular has already brought us the Blackberry 7130c, we've still been itching to get our hands on the other versions, including the slick new 7130v, ever since we caught the FCC pictures of them a few weeks ago. Thankfully, it looks our wait might finally be coming to an end. The same forum that has been surprisingly accurate when it comes to blowing up RIM's spot in the past is reporting that the "enterprise friendly" devices will be hitting the UK on T-Mobile and Vodaphone in July, with the T-Mobile US version hitting around the same time. We think waiting another month for our fix of EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 and the ever-addictive SureType is far too long. Our Treo, on the other hand, is keeping its fingers crossed for an indefinite delay.

  • Motorola V3i joining BlackBerry 7130c on Cingular next week?

It's been widely known that the Motorola V3i and a variant of the BlackBerry 7130 are both expected for Cingular; the only question was when. That piece of the puzzle might be now be answered, thanks to our ol' buddy, The Canary-uncovering, Q-exposing Boy Genius: rumor has both these objects of desire launching next week. Sure enough, he's given us some kind of promotional literature for the Cingular-branded 7130c -- yeah, it's fuzzy, but we clearly see a Cingular logo slapped on the center of that phone. When a US domestic carrier launches a phone, it doesn't take much to get us excited around here, but two relatively anticipated phones in one week? On the same carrier? Pardon us while we go launch some bottle rockets.

  • BlackBerry 7130c launching June 13th?

An invitation for a six-day, six-city series kicking off June 13th in Houston on getting the most out of your BlackBerry also seems to reveal the launch of RIM's 7130 candybar-style smartphone for CIngular's network. Called "Own Your Day," the event is described as beginning with "an introduction to the latest BlackBerry device" complete with "exclusive hands-on demonstration." which almost certainly refers to the 7130c that we've spotted several times before. Still, until we get official word from Cingular, you've gotta file this under "speculation" for the time being.[Via Pinstack forums]

  • BlackBerry 7130 invading Europe

RIM's latest piece of SureType goodness, the 7130, is starting to drop on European carriers. We've found it on Vodafone's UK site, and we have word (and pictures to back it up) via pinstack.com that we should be seeing it on O2 any minute now. US users drooling at the device's shapely form factor, EDGE, and Bluetooth 2.0 need not wait long -- Cingular and T-Mobile should be getting one flavor of the 7130 or another before too long. See a screen cap of the 7130 on Vodafone UK's e-shop after the break.[Thanks, Gina Lisa and Iain M.]

  • Blackberry 7130 gets real, FCC style

Thank you for once again making our lives interesting, oh gracious FCC. Your freshly unearthed filings from Research in Motion have divined us a small bounty of BlackBerry 7130s, which turned out to be where those other pics of the Cingular 7130 popped up from. Including the already launched 7130e, we've got four models on our hands now with the 7130c, 7130g, and 7130v. Each of the GSM devices should have quad-band EDGE as per the filing, as well as Bluetooth 2.0, 64MB flash and 16MB RAM, and the usual mini USB port. We'll let you know more as these things get prices and launch dates -- we're assuming it won't be too long now that the cat's out of the very holey FCC bag.[Via Phone Scoop]
