Originally discussed back in August, talk of a remade/remixed version of Adeline Software International's Little Big Adventure (known stateside as Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure) has resurfaced during an interview between GoG.com and the creative minds behind the series, Didier Chanfray, Frédérick Raynal and Sébastien Viannay. Other than confirmation that a rerelease of the original Little Big Adventure is in the works, the team also hinted at the possibility of an eventual Little Big Adventure 3: "We obviously have a lot of ideas for a third part, our best fans already know some of them, but before telling you more we need to test some of them with the remake. Games are different nowadays and we don't want to be stuck in 90's." If only every developer could be so self-aware.

After earlier reports indicated ongoing negotiations over the availability of action-adventure classic Little Big Adventure, the game suddenly appeared on Good Old Games this morning. Its sequel, however, remains absent, though we can't imagine that'll stay the case for much longer. Regardless, for $5.99, you can head back into Twinsun and get your 1994 on starting right now. After a screengrab of a purported Facebook message seemingly announced development of a Little Big Adventure 3 – a scant fourteen years after the release of Little Big Adventure 2 in 1997 – Adeline Software co-founder Didier Chanfray denied the report, telling French gaming site Jeuxvideo that, "to date, LBA 3 is not planned." He says that "the road to LBA3 is still long and bumpy" but strong public support for the first two titles could help grease the wheels of progress. To that end, Chanfray says that a downloadable release of Little Big Adventure 1 and 2 "is under negotiation" and a "'remix' of LBA on a touch pad is under consideration." It's worth pointing out that many of you may be familiar with the character in the image above, but have never heard of this "Little Big Adventure" nonsense; the games were published in North America by Activision as Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure and Twinsen's Odyssey. Now, reread this post and see if that affects your level of interest.
