    FullContact develops a suite of contact-management utilities, and its tools are going to get even better in the near future. The Denver-based company announced today that it is going to acquire the team and the technology that drives popular contact-management app, Cobook. Launched in 2011, Cobook became one of the top address book replacements for iOS and OS X users. The app set itself apart from the competition by importing not only your iCloud contacts, but also contacts from other social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and others. It also supports tagging, which makes it easy to organize and identify contacts in a long list. According to FullContact, the team at Cobook will be relocated from their home base of Latvia and will join FullContact's Denver offices. Kaspar Dancis, the CEO of Cobook, will become the product manager for FullContact's Address Book platform. The Cobook apps and name will be unchanged for the time being, but the long-term future of the iOS and OS X apps is uncertain. As part of the acquisition, the Cobook team will be moving to Denver to combine the offices. Kaspars Dancis, the CEO of Cobook, will take over responsibility of the FullContact Address Book platform as the Product Manager. The Cobook name and products will remain unchanged at this time. FullContact's Address Book enables users to consolidate contacts from multiple services and keep them up to date. The company also provides a suite of APIs for application developers who want to give a more complete picture of contacts for their customers. Cobook provides a great, unified address book experience for the iPhone, iPad and Mac that has more than 1 million passionate users worldwide. The company has recently released version 3 of its applications, with a vastly improved user interface and the addition of many customer­ requested features.
