Yes, this Conan O'Brien "Clueless Gamer" bit features Mortal Kombat X (which, by the by, Ermac was just confirmed for). More importantly, we now know that sportsballer-of-few-words Marshawn Lynch likes to play Toad in Mario Kart, while Rob Gronkowski is all about the Bowser. For several reasons that shouldn't need elaboration, this video is possibly NSFW. [Image: WB]

It's November, so it's the busy season for Conan O'Brien's Clueless Gamer segment. As a Brit who doesn't speak with a French accent, the talk show host's take on Assassin's Creed: Unity resonates with me. Also, that weary look at the mention of "backstory" is golden. [Image: Ubisoft]

If your game has a "Hold X to Pay Respects" button and you ask Conan O'Brien to play it - well, you know what's going to happen. Conan's vid does have a few early spoilers for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but it's worth watching the self-proclaimed Clueless Gamer go crazy over turrets, crossing a street and Kevin Spacey's eyes. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment issued a new trailer for Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham today, which shows a few of the big-name voice actors talking about their involvement in the Lego superhero game. As previously announced, Conan O'Brien will be a playable character in the game, joining the likes of film director Kevin Smith and Arrow's Stephen Amell, the latter reprising his role as Green Arrow. Lego Batman 3 will launch on November 11 for a whole mess of platforms: PS4, PS3, Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U and 3DS. Players will be able to pick up the game's $14.99 season pass that guarantees access to six DLC add-ons. It will also be packed in to its own $270 PS3 bundle at launch. • Conan O'Brien, Daffy Duck and more join LEGO Batman 3

Late night TV host Conan O'Brien will be a playable character in the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, according to a New York Comic-Con panel for the game. Ironically, the man who calls himself a "clueless gamer" will also act as a sort of guide for players, showing them around a game he may not really know much about himself. Warner Bros. and Traveller's Tales also introduced several other characters and alternate costumes, including Solar Suit Superman, Darkest Knight, Man-Bat and, from Batman: The Animated Series, the Condiment King. But a guy shooting ketchup and mustard at people can't compare to playable character The Green Loontern, which is what happens when Duck Dodgers (played by Daffy Duck) puts on a Green Lantern outfit. And you thought it was kinda weird when Kevin Smith showed up to help save the world. [Image: WB Interactive]

  • Conan's "documentary" about Apple's U2 removal program is incredible

The public reaction to Apple's giveaway of U2's latest album was decidedly mixed. Some people were excited to find the new album in their iTunes account, while a large contingent of users either didn't want to hear it or found the way the giveaway was handled an invasion of privacy. Regardless of what side you took, the giveaway obviously didn't go the way Apple intended, as shown by its creation of a removal page to help people ditch the album. Now from the rubble of the Great U2 Controversy of 2014 comes a short "documentary" of sorts from the parody factory at TBS' Conan. "Apple's U2-Removal Service" goes the extra step in making sure you forget every aspect of hearing the new U2 album, even if it means rewriting your brain. Enjoy.

Conan O'Brien may have not been the only clueless gamer at E3, but the TV star's take on gaming's annual LA-palooza is always worth a watch. After talking and playing Entwined, Forza 5, Sunset Overdrive, Project Morpheus and Kevin Spacey In Your Face, things get a bit creepy when 100 Nintendo ladies watch Conan firestorm Hyrule Warriors. There's more Clueless Gamer below the break with Conan playing Super Smash Bros Wii U.

When you're an incredibly famous chat show host with physics-defying hair, you can do things like rent out a NFL stadium just to play Need for Speed: Rivals on the ninth largest screen in the world. Conan O'Brien's latest "Clueless Gamer" is one of the most remarkable yet, if only for the surreal sight of him playing Flower on a 180 x 72 feet jumbotron while a group of kids spell out his name on the grass below. And they say games aren't art. PS: Before you start looking for Super Street Fighter 2 HD Turbo Remix on the PS4 Store, it's not there, and it looks like Conan switched to a DualShock 3 during that bit. Sorry to dash those hopes. • Yes, Conan O'Brien's 'Clueless Gamer' skit offers exposure for cash

Conan O'Brien is a beloved TV personality, former Simpsons writer and an abnormally tall redhead, but most importantly, he's a beloved TV personality with a large audience, and therefore frequently receives compensation to feature certain consumer goods on his show. Goods like video games. It's a common marketing gimmick that nonetheless has caught the attention of a Recode report, which claims that "about a quarter" of the games highlighted on O'Brien's "Clueless Gamer" skit appear there due to monetary compensation. An episode from last October prominently features Red Barrels' indie horror release Outlast. Stephanie Palermo, a senior account executive at Outlast representatives TriplePoint PR, has revealed that O'Brien's production team received $35,000 for the game's appearance, but adds that positive commentary wasn't a requirement of the deal. In fact, says Palermo, O'Brien is under no obligation to praise any of the games that pay to appear on his show. Though this practice seems to be common, it's not a hard, fast rule. Representatives from Mojang claim to have paid nothing for Minecraft's appearance on Clueless Gamer. As Recode notes though, O'Brien's "review" of Minecraft was largely negative, particularly when compared to his praise for Outlast. This news immediately follows the controversy over Microsoft paying YouTube users to include the Xbox One in their videos. As in that case, the reality of paid endorsements is being conflated with the more salacious concept of "pay for play." O'Brien's show accepting cash to feature games is no more shady than your favorite sitcom earning extra money every time a can of Coke is displayed on screen. That said, O'Brien's show does not mention these endorsement deals in its credits or elsewhere, claiming instead that it's understood that a comedian riffing on a game is not a proper critical review.

  • Conan O'Brien tries to understand World of Warcraft

What happens when a guy, who has practically no experience with World of Warcraft, attends Blizzcon? If it's anything like Conan O'Brien's trip, the ignorance will result in hilarity – like how O'Brien discovered the oxygen is really thin in Azeroth or that all life in the realm must have a much weaker lung capacity than we do here in the world of the real. Also: bears in heat. Outside of actually playing, O'Brien also chats with a team of professional players from Europe prior to the World of Warcraft of Warcraft World Championship and even sits down to commentate the finale. It's refreshing, because you never really hear commentators discuss the types of flooring to be found in Azeroth.

  • Conan plays WoW, talks to the devs at BlizzCon

Conan O'Brien stopped by BlizzCon to do some arena match commentating, which you may have seen earlier, but what you didn't see was that he also interviewed Game Director Tom Chilton and sat down to play a little Warlords of Draenor with Production Director J Allen Brack. He also interviews one of the arena teams. There's the usual jabs at gaming stereotypes, but I got some laughs from him trying to trash talk another player and complaining about dying from a fall into snow. The earlier video showing the full 25 minutes of arena commentating was a little bit much to slog through, but once edited down for TV it's a lot funnier.

We're all used to some serious names taking the commentator's seat for the Arena Global Invitational at BlizzCon, but this year a first-round series between Skill-Capped and Flash Wolves got a special treat from the world's best gamer, Conan O'Brien. Conan took his Clueless Games segment to BlizzCon and joined Adam "Hoodrych" Brown and Jared "VHell" Coulston to lend some gravitas and real gaming knowledge to the commentary. The full 25-minute version you see above will no doubt be condensed down into something far shorter for the show itself, as on watching it I certainly found the whole thing rather stilted and awkward, but there are some funny moments tucked away in there which will no doubt make for great TV. It's also possible that I'm just not used to Conan's comedy style. But I certainly cracked a smile at certain points, especially where he was grabbing the more knowledgeable casters' tidbits on, for example, gateway usage, and accidentally saying just the right thing! Oh and paladin healers? Conan says to make sure you use your potions.

We'd expect chat show hosts to be trotting out the next-gen consoles around this time, but Conan 'Clueless Gamer' O'Brien went down the Halloween route with an eclectic variety of PC horror games. Talk show comedian Conan O'Brien spent a couple of minutes discussing his experiences playing Diablo III on a recent show. While he calls the graphics and gameplay "great," O'Brien takes issue with the voices and dialogue. "They don't seem to suit the dark and violent tone," O'Brien complains. OK, so it's really just an excuse for him to show a few clips from the game while providing zany voiceovers. If you've played the game, perhaps you'll be amused by the following video. The Atari 2600 isn't the kind of modern, hip guest you'd normally expect on a late-night talk show, but in the hands of Conan O'Brien it's excellent value - not literally, mind. With his Clueless Gamer spectacles, which clearly don't have a trace of rose tint, our host really doesn't get on with some of the vintage console's most memorable entries. However, like Conan's quiff, one game somehow manages to hold up.
